Why can’t I be located using my mobile device?
FollowEnable GPS
We use GPS to verify your location when using our mobile app. For this to work, you need to ensure you have enabled location services on your device for our app. You will automatically receive an on screen message to ‘allow’ this, but you can also manage this on your device via Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
If I have an LTE enabled phone, and cannot be accurately located, what can I do?
LTE enabled phones may not be able to complete verification process, therefore you may need to turn LTE off.
For iOS devices, go to Settings > Cellular > and turn off Enable LTE > then restart phone.;;This process may vary if you have an iPhone 5 or above. For Android users, please visit the 'Play Store' where you will find downloadable apps in order to carry this out.
For more information on how to enable GPS or disable 4G LTE on your specific device, please visit the Support forums for your device manufacturer.
Please note, if your mobile device has been rooted or jailbroken, the geolocation software built into the mobile application will not be able to verify your location. You will need to play from a different device.
I'm using a Public or company internet, or a Wi-Fi Hotspot.
Why can't I be located?
If you are using an internet connection provided by a third party, such as a public or corporate connection, this may register you as outside of New Jersey. In this case, we would recommend using your own Modem, Wi-Fi or Cellular Internet Connection. If you are using a Proxy Server, then this would also need to be disabled before connecting to the website. Wi-Fi hotspots are not accurate enough to locate you and will block any useable Wi-Fi signal.
What else can I do to help Geo-Locate myself?
It can also help to locate yourself on Google Maps. We compare the Wi-Fi networks in your area against Google's Wi-Fi database. If your computer can see any networks which are on this database, then we can use this to determine your location. You do not need to connect to these, just be able to see those available in your area.
Please use the following link;here;for Google Maps;and then click the grey dot above the yellow man symbol. This will try and locate you on Google Maps.
When you do this from your phone, it may say 'Google wishes to locate you'. You would need to click 'Allow' and then the map will zoom into your location. If you are on the newest Google Maps which doesn't show the dot above the symbol of a man, then you would firstly need to click the question mark symbol towards the bottom right and then click 'Return to classic Google Maps'. This will then take you to the classic maps where you can click the gray dot. For further information about how to locate yourself on Google Maps, please see here.
Once this has been done you may be able to access the games instantly, though it can take up to 24 hours for the Google Maps database to update and locate you, so please do try again shortly.
